Last night while driving in the car, the inevitable question came from our 5 year old Alex - “Why did God make people with different colored skin?” My wife, Krista, did a great job in explaining why God would do that, how God loves to make people unique, and then proceeded to talk about interracial couples and how their children are a combination of their skin colors.

Then another question came out of the back seat - “Well, why is Daddy black but you (meaning Mommy) and I are so white?” Krista’s response, “Why do you think Daddy is black? Is it because of his black hair?” Alex - “No, his hair is grey!!!”

I love my son.
