Today, our future neighbors are celebrating German Reunification Day or German Unity Day. Its in celebration of many events but the most recent (and what determined that it be October 3rd) was when the former West Germany and East Germany came back together. While technically the Berlin wall came down on November 9th, they celebrate on October 3rd because the Nov 9th date was also the date of Kristallnacht which was anniversary of the first large scale Nazi led pogroms against the Jews.

It is great that Germany is whole and with the World Cup played there this summer, there is now a sense of nationalism and pride.

I can’t wait to get there. Pray that we can get our support and moved over there soon. Thank you.
