Kindergarten Playground
Over this past week, I had the pleasure of celebrating two Thanksgiving dinners. One was with my family and friend in Charlotte, NC on the traditional Thursday and the other was with our new “family” (Greater Europe Mission) in Kandern, Germany on Sunday. I guess God knew I had a lot to be thankful for as things are really changing for Krista, Alex and I.

Over the past few weeks, we have gone from 77% in monthly support to over 96%. Because of that, I flew to Germany to beginning looking for an apartment (thanks to a supporter who gave us frequent flyer miles) and I am please to say we found one. Our “wohnung” is right in the heart of Kandern which is the same town that the international school for Alex is. We are also right next door to a German kindergarten which we are trying to get Alex into for the rest of this year. (You can pray that they will find an opening for him there). We were also able to get discounted tickets for our flight over so yes, we have a departure date. We will be leaving the US on January 9th arriving in Deutschland on 10th January.

God really blessed us as finding an apartment in Kandern is very difficult but something weird happened (too long of a story to tell here) and a wonderful apartment that was recently renovated opened up within walking distance to most everything in town but still on a quiet, child friendly street where the kids play soccer. I got to meet the 82 year old lady who lives below us (and happens to be the mother of our new landlord) and after talking with her for a while, she said “Yes, you are handsome, you should live here”. She also said, “Don’t worry about your son making noise or you playing your music too loud. I’m pretty much deaf.” It’s going to be fun getting to know her.

Everything has gone really smooth and I can tell many of you have been praying. Thank you. This week has been really great hanging out with our eDOT team and getting to know them even more. (I was even put to work fixing a print server they had here)

Over the next few weeks, things will stay hectic. As I return tomorrow, I will go into a week that is very crazy. It includes meeting with people (we still have to finish raising our support) and going to our Fundraiser on Monday at Max & Erma’s (don’t forget to be there too - More info here). Also, going through all of our stuff to make sure it will fit in our new place and prepare for packing our crate (we will be shipping our stuff probably before Christmas.

Please keep praying. God bless.

PS - The picture is of a “thing” that is in the playground at the Kindergarten next door to our new place. Right now the kids are trying to figure out a name for it.
