Are you one of those “On the other side of the ocean” aka North America and really want to take a vacation in the Swiss Alps by us. Well, now you can - go to Vue Des Alpes and you can arrange to stay in one of their 9 virtual rooms in a Swiss hotel that is in the middle of the virtual Swiss Alpes.

A friend in German class told me about this website that some friends of his were putting together and it must be pretty good because you can’t get a virtual reservation until July 4th, 2008. Reservations are for 5 days and you are issued a room and everything else. Its a really unique idea in a website which allows you to see the sites all from your own home. You are suppose to still take vacation days from your job but you stay at your own place and “live” virtually in the hotel and environment that they have set up on the site. Make sure you check it out next time you want to take a vacation in the Alps but don’t have the cash.
