Beginning of Pray Europe 40-40-40

Today begins a challenge to pray for 40 countries, in 40 days for more than 40 seconds per day. Each day the PrayEurope.com 40-40-40 challenge will be highlighting a different European country.  See my other blog about it for more info about how you can be involved.

Today’s Country is Albania.

Dear Lord,

Today I pray for Albania, a country with a rich history and location.  I pray for the 70% of the population who cling to Islam for their relationship with you.  I pray that they will come to know the one True YOU – a God of love and mercy who provided a way through Your Son, Jesus Christ, so that we can be reunited without -not by our doing but by Jesus’ doing.  I pray for the many who claim that You don’t exist since Albania was the 1st officially declared atheist country in 1967.  I pray for the followers of Christ there that they will be bold in sharing their stories about how You changed their lives so that others can understand You do exist and want to follow You as well.  Amen.
